Your first visit, start to finish
Nobody should walk in guessing. Here is how the first appointment works, what it costs, and what you leave with.
The week before
You book and we send your forms
Booking reserves your time with a $200 fee that comes off the price of the visit. Your intake forms arrive by email. Fill them in at home, where you have time to think.
Gather what you already have
Bring every medicine and supplement you take, or photograph the labels. Bring any lab results from the past year, even if another clinic ordered them. We will tell you if they are current enough to use.
Write down your questions
The ones that matter most are usually these: is this right for me, and what will I gain or lose? Bring them. We would rather answer them here than have you think of them in the car.
The visit itself
Thirty minutes with Elizabeth
You see Elizabeth G. Bagan, APRN. You talk first. We go through what changed, when it started, what you have already tried, and what you want to be different.
We measure what matters
Where it is relevant, labs are drawn here in the office. We run a full panel rather than a five panel screen, because the answer is often in the numbers nobody checked.
You leave with a plan
Once we understand what is going on, we lay out the options, the risks, the cost and the timeline. For weight management, medicine is often prescribed that day.
The price, before you ask
The consultation is $295. A $200 booking fee reserves your appointment and comes off that price, so the expected balance at the visit is $95.
Lab work is not billed to insurance. You pay for labs directly, and we give you the price before anything is drawn. We can provide a superbill you can submit to your insurer yourself.
What treatment costs depends on what you and Elizabeth decide together, and you get the full cost before anything starts.
The days and weeks after
You go home with a plan and a scheduled follow up. Most people have questions once they have had time to read it. Call or text, that is what the number is for.
If you started hormone therapy, your first follow up labs are at about six weeks. For weight management, labs repeat at every ten percent change in body weight or every three months, whichever comes first.
The follow up is where we find out whether this is working for you, and change it if it is not.
