Body contouring for women
Your body can change before the scale tells the whole story.
You may have lost weight and still feel like certain areas have not caught up. Your abdomen may feel softer. Muscle definition may be harder to maintain. Your shape may change through perimenopause, menopause, pregnancy, weight loss, or simply time.
That does not always mean you need to lose more weight. Sometimes the goal is different: reduce stubborn fat, rebuild strength, improve muscle tone, and help your body feel more like yours again.
At Precision Medicine & Wellness, we use truSculpt and truFlex as part of an individualized body-contouring plan designed around what has actually changed.

Why your body may feel different now
- 01Fat distribution can change.
Hormonal changes, aging, pregnancy, and weight loss can all change where your body tends to hold fat. Areas that were never an issue before may suddenly become harder to change. - 02Muscle becomes easier to lose and harder to maintain.
Changes in muscle mass and strength can affect how your body looks, feels, and responds to weight loss, even when the number on the scale is moving in the right direction. - 03Weight loss does not always create the shape you expected.
You can lose a significant amount of weight and still have areas of stubborn fat, less muscle definition, or a softer appearance than you anticipated. - 04Body contouring addresses what the scale cannot.
truSculpt can target localized fat while truFlex strengthens and conditions specific muscle groups. - 05Your treatment plan is built around your body.
We look at where you are starting, what has changed, and what you actually want to improve before creating your treatment series.
You can lose weight and still want to change your shape.
Weight loss reduces overall body weight and body fat. It does not control exactly where fat comes off, how much muscle definition you keep, or how your proportions may change along the way.
That is why the number on the scale can improve while certain areas still do not look or feel the way you expected.
For women actively losing weight, including those using GLP-1 medications, body contouring can be incorporated during the process. truFlex can strengthen and condition targeted muscle groups while truSculpt can address localized areas of fat as your body changes.
If you have already reached or are close to your goal, treatment can focus on the areas that still feel out of proportion, softer, or less defined than you want.
You may not need to lose more weight. You may need a different approach to your body composition.
Fat and muscle are different problems. We treat them differently.
When we evaluate your body, we are not simply looking for an area to treat. We are looking at what is creating the change you see.
Is it localized fat? Loss of muscle tone or strength? A change in your proportions after weight loss? Often, it is more than one thing.
truSculpt: target localized fat. truSculpt uses radiofrequency energy to treat specific areas of unwanted fat and improve body contour. It can be especially helpful when your overall weight has changed but certain areas continue to hold fat differently than you would like.
truFlex: strengthen and condition muscle. truFlex uses targeted electrical muscle stimulation to strengthen, tone, and condition specific muscle groups. For women, this may be particularly valuable when muscle definition has become harder to maintain with age, hormonal changes, weight loss, or periods of decreased activity.
truBody: address fat and muscle together. When both localized fat and muscle conditioning are contributing to what you see, we may combine truSculpt and truFlex as part of a truBody treatment plan.
We do not automatically treat every woman the same way. Your series is built around your anatomy, starting point, goals, and what will realistically make the greatest difference. The goal is to improve body composition, strength, shape, and definition.
What to know about your treatment plan
Body contouring works best when we are clear about what you want to change and what is realistically possible. At your consultation, we look at your anatomy, body composition, treatment areas, health history, and goals. From there, we create a complete treatment series rather than treating one session at a time.
What body contouring may improve
- Reduce localized areas of fat with truSculpt.
- Strengthen, tone, and condition targeted muscle groups with truFlex.
- Improve shape, definition, and overall body contour.
- Provide a non-surgical option with no downtime.
- Support changes in body composition during or after weight loss.
Results develop gradually as you move through your treatment series.
Risks and side effects
- Depending on the treatment, you may experience temporary redness, tenderness, swelling, firmness, or muscle soreness.
- Significant changes in weight after treatment can also change your results.
What it cannot do
- Body contouring is not a substitute for weight loss, resistance training, or surgery when those are what your body actually needs.
- It also cannot guarantee a specific size, shape, or result. Every woman responds differently based on anatomy, body composition, lifestyle, and starting point.
Body contouring at Precision Medicine & Wellness is performed as a treatment plan and series, not as individual sessions.
Before you begin, we review your complete treatment plan and total investment with you. Once your initial series is complete, we offer a body contouring membership designed to help you maintain and continue building on your results over time.
Who may not be a candidate
Pregnancy, implanted electronic devices, active infection in the treatment area, certain metal implants, and some medical conditions may make treatment inappropriate.
Candidacy is determined individually based on your health history, treatment area, and the technology being considered.
Answered before you ask
Is body contouring the same as weight loss?
No. Medical weight loss reduces overall body weight and body fat. Body contouring focuses on specific areas by reducing localized fat and strengthening and conditioning targeted muscle groups.
The two can work together, and body contouring can be incorporated during or after a medical weight loss program.
How many sessions will I need?
Body contouring at Precision Medicine & Wellness is performed as a treatment plan and series, not as a single treatment.
A typical plan may include 6 to 8 truFlex sessions and 2 truSculpt sessions, depending on your anatomy, treatment areas, starting point, and goals.
Your complete treatment plan and total investment are reviewed with you before you begin.
After completing your initial series, we offer a body contouring membership to help maintain and build on your results.
Do I need to be at my goal weight first?
No. Body contouring can be incorporated while you are actively losing weight or after you have reached your goal.
You may also be at a healthy or comfortable weight and still have areas where fat distribution, muscle tone, or body shape have changed.
The right timing depends on what we are treating and what you are trying to accomplish.
When will I see results?
Results develop over time rather than all at once.
truSculpt studies have demonstrated measurable fat reduction at approximately 12 weeks after treatment, while changes from truFlex develop as targeted muscle groups are strengthened and conditioned through the treatment series.
Is there downtime?
These are non-invasive treatments with no downtime.
Depending on the treatment, temporary redness, tenderness, swelling, firmness, or muscle soreness may occur.
Can perimenopause or menopause change my body composition?
Yes. Changes in hormones, aging, activity, sleep, and muscle mass can affect where women carry fat and how easily they maintain muscle and definition.
Body contouring does not treat menopause itself, but it can be part of a broader plan when changes in fat distribution, muscle tone, or body shape are part of what you are noticing.
